Nothing to do with Abbott. Can you point me at something that would explain in words of one syllable how Ham radio works and how one gets the lowest level of license? Not really for me as I never have enough time, but I'd kinda like to see if I could get one of the grandkids interested. The future is looking kinda grim and who knows, it might prove useful. I've looked at Ham clubs in Maine online but they don't seem super organized re: beginners. Thanks!
