I mean being a literal national socialist on a national socialist social media site is a pretty good reason to disavow someone entirely. The problem is, that he apperantly took a U-turn (I don't know the exact case so I'll assume you're right) and still there is no option of redemption, unless he, as you said, gets assimilated by the AGP fetish hivemind, where suddenly a far right past is suddenly no problem at all for some reason.
I do think this is a larger societal problem, a few years ago there was a witchhunt against a left-wing green-party youth politician with broad support in Germany, instigated by populist and far right media, for her being an edgy piece of shit online when she was like 14 years old. It really isn't exclusive to liberal/"woke" circles, nobody wants to acknowledge that people can change and forever begrudging someone is not healthy for anybody
