Equally, & as you point out, a warm intro from someone you trust is arguably a 10x on a cold application. “Oh, Karnage, you worked with this person for a year, I like the look of them for x role, should they apply?” True signal from noise.
Plus the inventive alignment is great. Employees and employers are more accountable to their actions. This in particular could be a benefit to both sides. Play cricket, get rewarded, play with people’s lives, get called out on it
