My thoughts to Brad, I think are worth broadcasting, as I work how how to best use and support Nostr:
quoting note1zud…c358Cross posting my macro stuff here was my early intent, but I ran into frictions. I would start to but then forget to post stuff here. And some of the early desktop clients kind of sucked for posting images. Primal is making that better.
I found myself naturally posting “insider updates” about my book progress and stuff. And occasionally ranting about things. That’s what felt natural. Posting macro content here always felt like a chore. There are studies that show how hard it is to be “native” on two or more social media platforms. You can easily cross-post, but actually *understanding* the culture of different ecosystems is really hard. Reposting often feels hollow, especially because there is a big bitcoin community here but not a big macro community, and most of the small macro community that is here catches my stuff elsewhere anyway.
The more I think about it, unique content is best. Cross posting doesn’t hurt but it’s not the key driver. And the only unique content that will be genuine is stuff I feel uncomfortable or uninterested in posting on Twitter.
