My inspiration and process for these sorts of projects has always depended HEAVILY on planning. Some dink handed me a link to Lifehacker when I was still in high school and I've been addicted to David Allen's goofy GTD system ever since, and reading "Every Tool's a Hammer" shortly after it came out only made the listing worse.
Problem statement: I have absolutely no idea what sort of work is involved here so I can't plan it.
