It’s every adult’s compromise with the world: you grow up expecting things to work and to make sense, because as a child [ideally] your parents created a world for you where they did. But outside childhood we all know that just doesn’t hold, nothing works and nothing makes sense. Fine. That’s just the world of being a grownup.
But: I just want my fucking computer to behave in ways consistent with logical rules, and I don’t think that’s an immature demand.
