I was told the original algo on TikTok was a rather simple sampling and boosting mechanism.
IE: a post gets shown to 10 people, if it does well in that sample it gets shown to 100, it does well again it gets shown to 1,000. So on so forth.
This allows any pleb to go viral in theory, and is a huge draw to the platform. This is variable rewards on steroids.
Can/should this be brought to Nostr in some form? Can Nostr do it better?
