Today is my 40th birthday. My birthdays always get me down. I just want to crawl into a hole. It feels like a yearly mandatory day-long look in the mirror where I only see everything I haven’t accomplished and how little time I have and what I don’t have. I feel like I have to perform on my birthdays just so I don’t get other people down. Anyone else ever feel this way?
