So, I've been doing a lot of Metroidvania games lately, and as a result I've even been gifted some more Indie Metroidvania games. I want to keep that theme going, but I think I'm going to run out of my Retro Metroidvania games long before the indie ones. Maybe it's just because I know actual Metroid most, but feels like the old metroidvania games specialized in quick progression with high reliability to a larger extent (though the newer indie ones are very good).
