In fact, the only platforms that might be able to withstand the legal onslaught that would follow the alteration or elimination of 230 would be the large, well-founded, centralized platforms that they fled in the first place.
Why?
Because 230 doesn't just protect operators from lawsuits for transmitting offensive content. It also protects them from lawsuits for *moderating* content.
Which means the trolls would absolutely weaponize the courts to stop moderators from taking down their posts.
