If I can’t find the right person to give them to, and if their time with me is definitely done, and if they’re too personal to go even to an appreciative stranger, I might wrap them up in something, inwardly thanking them for their role in my life, before carefully placing them in the bin, burying them, or burning them. Or I might add them to one of my little shrines of “things on their way out” and let the elements take them over time.",
