Now I'm running #FreeBSD as my daily I was looking at a particular pkg version and noticed it was 2 releases behind. I'm not going to name the package or pkg maintainer but I decided to send an email stating I was new to FreeBSD so forgive my lack of how things work here but is there a reason your pkg is behind ?
I really didn't expect a reply TBH but got one explaining not only had their PC died recently which is now resolved but they had been busy with other pkgs. They were really nice about it and even said that the update is in the pipeline for the pkg I enquired about.
I have to say the #BSD community so far have been amazing and I have absolutely no regrets moving from #Linux . 👌
