We can agree that religion can be damaging. Words and acts of God, however, are not anything about which I'm prepared to make any sort of declaration, and, frankly, I'm not inclined to trust the "wisdom" of people who are comfortable making such statements. I mean, if a person truly and unquestioningly believes s/he has insight as to the existence and nature of God, I automatically assume that's not a person who prioritizes evidence and analytical, rather than magical, thinking.
