So I trimmed my potted dwarf plumeria and put a couple of the clippings in the ground of a flowerbed alongside my house with the assumption they'd die once winter hits because this is Chicago, not Honolulu. My friend suggested I put a small greenhouse over them to see if i can get them to survive. They're good to about 40F, I guess. Chicago winters can be *slightly* colder than that, and the ground is going to freeze. So I thought I'd ask the smarter people of #gardening Fedi. Worth trying or nah?
