Read "The Creature from Jekyll Island" in 2005 then followed J Orlin Grabbe and learned about attempts to create digital currency. Got busy with life but had told my father what I had learned and years later he asked if I had bought bitcoin (around 2011). I didn't know what it was but didn't think much of it. He passed away in early 2014 and I didn't hear about it much again until 2018. Started watching videos and learned how decentralized it was so started buying in late 2018 and early 2019.
