She is already a villain. She's holding on to her life, love, and family regardless of what that does to others and refuses to give up on the Ethereal Realm, believing it is possible fix, instead of starting anew. Which is what the Fates proclaim has to happen. So, she perpetually reignites time and everyone has to fight to reclaim their lives and loved ones while the Fates keep shuffling the board.
