Last night while only a few minutes into my meditation, my senior dog Dax, put his chin on my knee and waited.

And I thought to myself that I should ignore him so that he doesn't continue the behavior.

But there he was. His big Doberman chin on my knee. Waiting to be loved.

And then I reminded myself that I wouldn't have him for much longer.

So I paused my meditation, pet his face, scratched his neck and told him he was a good boy.

Nothing is more important than expressing love.
