I started seeing a counselor with a PhD in psychology and a PhD in neurology. I even got some lab work done. It turns out my body was just deficient of certain nutrients my brain needed.
"Alcoholism" is just cannon, not a medical diagnosis like "alcohol dependency syndrome".
