Using sonar, a pilot/explorer has found what looks to be an intact airplane submerged in 5000 meters of ocean about a hundred miles from Howland Island in the South Pacific. He believes it's Amelia Earhart's plane, which vanished in 1937.
“There’s no other known crashes in the area, and certainly not of that era in that kind of design with the tail that you see clearly in the image,” said Tony Romeo, CEO of Deep Sea Vision.
