My more recent books' chapters seem way more satisfying, but I have no idea what it is about them that makes that the case. I feel these days, that chapters need to somehow resolve, and the end 'feels right'. That's all I've got. The thing that did impress me about the old books' chapters was they were (mostly) short. Short chapters impress me, somehow.
