The worst thing about this time of year isn’t the vast amount of leaves falling or the obnoxious leaf blowers, but that I can actually admit that the leaf blowers are almost a necessity for a few weeks.
No, leaving (haha) them on the ground isn’t really an option. It doesn’t really freeze here so most plants aren’t dormant, the leaves don’t decompose, and rain is trapped by the leaves and the heavy clay soil so your plants just rot. The leaves don’t even make good mulch, just a Blanket of Doom.
