I gave these ants a new enclosure, space to dig their own nest because they seemed too nervous in the artificial nest. They started digging right away! That's the good news. The bad news is they just made a borehole like they were drilling for oil.

Now they have reached the bottom of the sand container and I feel bad. I can tell they want to go "deeper!"

I think they will adapt, but I was hoping they could have the illusion of a world without boundaries for a bit at least...
