Your perspective is interesting because you didn’t come at this like the majority of the bootstrap cohort.

I think I would have dismissed Nostr if not for understanding Bitcoin, the same as I didn’t get into Bitcoin the first times I saw it. Why didn’t you dismiss it early on?

Agree this does have an early Reddit feeling but way more cypherpunk. Wasnt into Linux but interesting comparison!

If I hadn’t built up the conviction, understanding and low time preference I have in #Bitcoin, it’s likely I would not have had the conviction, understanding and low time preference I’ve gained for #Nostr.

Bitcoin had to come first for me, but it set the foundation for understanding why Nostr will become a pivotal technology over the next decade.

We should now be thinking about this as full stack sovereignty. Like how Bitcoin will be built in layers, so too will the sovereign digital realm.

It will take time but we’re already seeing the convergence with innovation in “politics” and how people organise with things like Nostrocket (Companies), Cashu (Banking), and Ditto (Communities) not to mention infrastructure (Mesh networking, NWS, Mostr, Outbox, Private DMs, Holepunch etc).

You are here participating in the realisation of The Sovereign Individual thesis. Future Nostriches are going to be envious you were early, 5-10-15 years before them, seeing it all play out, getting fat zaps for shitposts, rebuilding the fiat world on the sovereign stack, disrupting VC-backed megacorps from the basement to create a better world.

We’re skating to where the puck is going, and we’re gonna get there before everybody else. Be sure to enjoy the journey! note1ku9…f6u6
