We canceled our Prime membership many years ago. We ordered from Amazon a lot because we had the free fast shipping, but once we didn't have that, we stopped using Amazon as much.
I started ordering directly from other stores or shopping locally. Sometimes I do need to order from Amazon, but when I do, I never pay for shipping. They throw you free Prime trials at you all the time.
Save your $180 a year, it's doable.
