We originally sent 410 requests to the /inbox endpoint for a while, hoping that would tell instances to ignore the instance as it was and basically be aware of only the new-instance. However, don't do this as it seems to have messed up some federation with some Misskey instances. I think they'll likely eventually catch up and refetch with us, but I'm not entirely sure. But yeah, that was the biggest mistake we made when moving over.
