What are the top ten albums that shaped your overall musical preferences today?

#3 Smashing Pumpkins – Siamese Dream
I didn’t want to admit how good this album was at the time it was out. I’m not sure it is the best one by Smashing Pumpkins, but of all their ablums though, it did have the biggest impact on me. I didn’t want to admit how good it was because, at the time, I was too wrapped up in other bands that will appear on this list (only two left). I came back to Smashing Pumpkings about ten years later, well after they faded from the limelight, though still putting out albums. This time I actually listened to the music and words together and started hear the embedded genius. I then checked out the before and after albums, Gish and Pisces Iscariot, and they’re at least just as great.
I still need to listen to their more recent albums. There are at least six of them released since I last checked in.
