Got tasked yesterday with organizing letters of collaboration for a grant I only found out I was a part of a few weeks ago, haven’t seen the pre-proposal of, nor budget. Found out I was on it when we had dinner at a hibachi restaurant and a woman from another party over heard spouse talking about cicadas (as one does) and realized her spouse is our mail carrier. She asked about my connection to the uni, then said she was a grant officer and recognized my name from the grant she was shepherding.
