Knowing that Russians can’t seem to do the job right the first time, I spent a long time looking for some kind of defect in my new razor. After a week, I finally found one. In the photo, you can see that the left corner of the safety bar is smoothed out more than the right one. Someone got carried away while polishing the plate and removed a bit more metal than necessary — or, conversely, the other three corners weren’t polished enough 🙂 I’ll never know for sure.
Technically, I should probably return it, but I’m not sure if the entire batch is not like this (and they don't compensate me for the shipping costs). Besides, the safety bar is still wider than the blade, and the corner is smoothed, not sharp, so the defect is minor. Still, it’s funny that I managed to spot it 🤣 Just thanks to the stereotype about Russians.
Seriously, it's not just only about nationality; this happens when employees work on contract with equipment that isn't theirs, on an hourly rental basis. In short, it's not their own production and not their own personnel. And here's the result.
And there will be no production in Russia for a long time now.
