this is why I like the Sega Genesis and other systems with an FM sound chip over the SNES, because while the SNES is just a sample based system the Sega Genesis literally lets you drive an actual synth with different sound drivers you can program yourself.
Case in point; different games from different composers on the Sega with sound drivers that are different sound nothing alike.
