Just read through Writers Coffee Club replies to the question. It surprised me to see how vast majority of you generally accept being a writer. I'm still struggling with the concept even after over 30 books traditionally published.
I've mulled on this and come to the conclusion it's part of my autism. I adopt my 'author persona' when I write but drop it as soon as I 'leave the keyboard'. Guess I need to figure a way to accept what I can't 🤣 😜
