Desire-kun (nprofile…cdnd) I don't think of killing in and of itself as good or bad any more than I think of a hammer as good or bad. A child shouldn't be killed, someone who molests a child should be killed. I've killed plenty of wild and farm animals suffering from disease or injury so they wouldn't suffer, which you could call good.

But at any rate, I don't think the people here are equating killing = good so much as they are equating killing bad people = good. And it's probably true, the death penalty has its uses. But no one on here is going to take one for the team and sacrifice themselves killing the bad people that the system won't kill, so it's a non-starter. So all we're left with is changing the incentives that make them.
