Sometimes when right wing violence happens, I see comments from left wing people that seem to think it's the beginning of an "inevitable" civil war.

I worry these comments come from a place of fantasizing about being a violent hero in a conflict someone else started.

If you do feel like a civil war is coming, I hope you're either doing something to prevent it, or doing something to protect those who will be hit hardest and first.

I hope it's not an excuse to step back and indulge despair.
