But I'm not trying to do my whole yard. I'm just trying to make some gardening beds. And I don't have the resources to actually dig up soil or buy soil and I just want to make it. Out of compost and other things I find in nature on the ground. In the article you sent is paywald. I would get around it, but the only thing it says is it doesn't have enough data to really get a good idea of soil around the world. And there's some technique SOM, whatever that means that is important.
