Solar in the UK is less efficient than wind, which should be the largest source of green energy, but clearly is not. (I'm assuming that nuclear is off the table in the UK...)
I can see zonal pricing as perhaps useful for persuading some to allow wind near where they live, BUT why should wealthy people living in the country be able to milk the system? Wind should simply go forward, period.
