If you’re going to be all serious, I wonder if it really costs all that much to go from “lives for 4 years” to “lives for 47 years”.
For example, Voyager is powered by waste heat from plutonium decay, and somewhere around six years from now, there won’t be enoughundecayedd plutonium left to power it. But I doubt that means a power system that would last for 4 years would be 8% the cost of the one we have.
