Lake Mangamahoe on outskirts of New Plymouth is well-known for views of Mt Taranaki. The lake was created in 1932 to supply the city w/ water. Our 1st visit was on a dull morning at 0900h; seen from the picnic spot the summit was however clear (📷1). 24 hrs later, autumn snowfall changed the mood from the lookout (📷2). Same eve the snow & cloud was gone: again, from picnic area (📷3) & lookout (📷4).
