I'd love to hear your sincere sharing of experiences:
I gave money to someone who eventually got kicked out of a group for scamming people. (Not on Mastodon, and I didn't fundraise here for them.) Small dollars, but the difference between a nice lunch and a stale bagel from the fridge, y'know? And I have no income at the moment.
Intellectually, I am fine about it - people are doing the best they can, even when that's not very good. The money DID go to a person in need; it's not like a billionaire came and took it!
But some part of me is very cross about it. Even identifying the feeling beyond "internal frowny-face emoji" would probably help me pick it apart.
So, what do you feel like in this situation? How do you think about it to move past it?
