In the case of medicine, the family dr might simply be reduced to a proofreader of ai generated assessments, in which case, they’d be able to process way more patients. Better yet would be a system where an ai doc could be accessible online by the patient, bypassing the human doctor altogether. But do believe a human dr would need be needed for vetting at some point. Regardless, the need for gp drs will plummet if the ai ends up doing all the heavy lifting.
