I would argue your examples are faulty.
1) buyer is told of features on purchase
2) southwest is successful at the cost of the customer. Reserving a seat number as an extra cost is slightly obscene.
3) data/DL speed/LD calls are usage based costs. Similar to water, electricity bills. Now imagine buying a phone and then being charge annually to use the screen.
4) unlocking levels is a one-time charge, not subscription.
