Muhammad Yunus is a well-known and respected figure in the social enterprise movement - founder of Grameen Bank and a Nobel laurate for his work in grassroots development. The 'microfinance' model he helped pioneer did much to improve economic, social and health conditions in Bangladesh, and has since spread around the world.
He is now under threat from Bangladesh's authoritarian regime.
