it does not jusr apply to computers, but also to every aspect of tool using, and, even more fundamentally, tool making.

THIS is the function of education. an education is being able to understand how to think critically. all biological organisms, not just humans, and not even just mammals, have a 'first nature' and a 'second nature'.

our second nature is culture. culture can be acquired both informally, and formally. the acquisition of culture through formal means is the deliberate and conscious use of education as an instrument to bring about the capacity for critical thinking.

to the extent people have said 'i don't want to learn how to master computing, get educated in it' etc, they are talking past you, and they have not understood what you are trying say at all.
