I stopped reading The Economist some years ago, so missed that this week they came out for Labour.
So, on one level, given The Economist is often seen as the magazine of the wealthy business elite, this is an interesting turnabout (although their endorsement seems grudging rather than wholesome).
But on another, for those who are suspicious of Rachel Reeves & her 'Treasury mindset', this endorsement will be one further bit of proof that Labour's fiscal stance will be crippling.
