Another day, another subtly self-congratulatory person on fediverse that tries to do away with a basic notion of toleration by playing word-games on Poppers so-called "Paradox of Tolerance".
Understand that most of these people have not actually read Popper (apart from that tragically distorted 'infocomic' that has floated around social media for better part of a decade) and besides, utterly fail to think two steps ahead in that abandoning a general principle of toleration in society would result in that our communities being put to the torch by hand hands of extremists (of whatever stripe) and resulting in revenge actions and blood-feuds that would never cease.
But... perhaps that is really what these 'paragons of tolerance' do want?
