#WritersCoffeeClub 7/11 genre or subgenre you’d never write?
I’m highly sceptical about doctrinaire application of ‘genre’ and very aware that my series doesn’t fit comfortably in any easy category (yet readers get on just fine).
That said, there are areas I wouldn’t write in, and they’re the same as those I don’t read, notably‘horror’ and ‘paranormal’. Also, ‘Christian fiction’. I don’t even know what that is, and I don’t think I want to.
