I used to think that if I was a good person, a good family member & a good friend, if I showed up for people when they needed me, if I did what was in my power to help them out, that when my turn came everything would be okay.

Nope.

Who I have been & how I have treated people has absolutely nothing to do with how people have treated me in the pandemic. I wish I had understood this earlier, although I don't know what I could have done differently.

I am still shocked by the disconnect. 1/n
