If you believe that the fediverse is our best bet for a healthier social media (and that's a genuine "if"—some here don't, and many have no opinion) then maintaining a presence on other networks may be counterproductive to that goal. People check out networks where there are people they want to follow, and if they can follow you just as easily from a network they're already on, their incentive for trying a different type of social media is that much lower.
