In this case, DNS wasn't the link that broke. But yes I'd like us to be even more uncensorable.
I'd love to work on nostr-next as gossip and chorus work winds down... but I don't want it to be a "fork" or to go off on my own away from the community of other smart developers who would need to be involved to get the best result. So the big unsolved problem is "how do we add these breaking features without just starting over? How do we migrate?" There are a bunch of NIPs proposing various ideas on these things, none of which are clearly right yet. Some of the features I put in nostr-next might not even be breaking, and many of them are maybe not even needed. Yet a few core ones for avoiding DNS and better key management I think are things we still must work out.
