Good points, but the fact is the Supreme Court is protecting the President from prosecution for behaving illegally; but I don't believe they will extend the protection to the illegal act itself.

In other words, he can illegally fire people and not get prosecuted for it, but the Supreme Court might come out saying "we won't punish you, but you can't do that"

Of course, he could just try to do it again, over and over.
