In this incident one must ask "cui bono"? Who would want to hamper Biden's diplomacy and his visit? Who would want to bring the Arab street into the conflict? I think it's clearly Hamas and Iran that are the big "winners" here. Did we think the Hamas plot ended at attack, murder and kidnap? Or did they correctly predict Israel's response and have many more steps planned after October 7th? People have said "it's a trap". Maybe Israel will slow down a beat now.
