Torn between: this i s great, a lot of ppl will join the fediverse and the fear of losing a moderately safe space to a big corp. The first is from a priviledged users perspective imho, the second from bipoc, queer and other communities at risk as well as developers.
We should have some possibility to openly discuss the situation.
